Filip and Karel. We are longtime friends, air enthusiasts and co-founders of FK Aviators company, which owns the Cessna 172 OK EYE.

 

For years, our piloting dream has been fed by modeling and flying on PC simulators, however, the desire to acquire a pilot license grew on us more and more and in 2011-2012 we made the dream reality. We completed our flight training at Alpha Aviation company (OK-EYE operator), using OK EYE as our training aircraft and gained PPL (A) private pilot license.

 

When OK-EYE was offered for sale by David Černý in 2015, we did not hesitate much, established FK Aviators and bought the aircraft. The owner's responsibility has brought our hobby to a whole new level.

 

We often fly with family members and friends, and love to show off the beauty of Bohemia and Moravia.

Together we also enjoy organizing tours around the Czech Republic and Europe, which always prove to be aviation challenges for us. OK EYE has served us several times as a transport means to Red Bull Air Race (Hungary, Austria and Germany) and to explore a number of interesting European destinations (such as Salzburg, Zell am See, Gdansk, Krakow, Peenemünde, Nuremberg, Hamburg, Budapest, Košice, Uzhhorod, lake Balaton).

 

Our faithful companion on our travel missions is the English folding bike Brompton. We fold both bikes into the luggage compartment and we fly. That provides us with a transport solution from the airport to the chosen destination as well as the option to engage in cyclo tourism.
