About the OK EYE aircraft
Our Cessna 172SP was manufactured in the US in 2004 under the serial number 172S9427.
In 2007, the airplane was acquired by a renowned Czech artist and enthusiastic aviator David Černý, who brought it to Europe and enrolled it into the Czech Aircraft Register under the OK-EYE matriculation in January 2008. Prague Letnany (LKLT) became the home airport. David Černý also invented the design of the airplane and painted it on by himself. A deep red mouth with a exhaust pipe in between the teeth, laquered finger nails on the landing gear covers and plenty of blush-blue eyes on the airframe, referring to "EYE" matriculation, raise interest, emotion and amusement at many airports across Europe.
OK-EYE is probably the most amusing aircraft in the Czech Republic and certainly the only aircraft with the design of David Černý in the world. In June 2015, the aircraft was bought by FK Aviators s.r.o., owned by Filip and Karel .
The design has been preserved and OK-EYE continues to remain at its home airport in Letnany. Company Alpha Aviation is specialized in its technical and commercial operations.
The airplane is widely used for sightseeing flights and for basic training of new pilots as well as for continual training, for example, the obtaining of instrument rating. The owners of the airplane love to use it for air tourism in Czechia and throughout Europe.
